About me
I'm a thoughtful person who likes to ask meaningful questions that lead to better decisions, outcomes, and experiences.
I like to think - a lot.
My journey
My journey started in patient-centered care at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
At the VA, I learned that taking a veteran-centered perspective could improve treatments and patient outcomes for disorders such as PTSD. I enjoyed and believed in user research so much that I decided to pivot into the UX field.
I knew I had made the right call during graduate school and my internship at Google.
My Master's degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington culminated in a capstone project with Alaska Airlines and the Port of Seattle, focused on helping older travelers navigate through SeaTac Airport. As an intern at Google, I led the first-ever UX research initiative on Google's internal giving platform, used by tens of thousands of employees.
Since then, my work has taken me across tech companies and even back to healthcare.
I'm most proud of the ways my work has helped people - whether by improving PTSD treatment for women veterans, connecting Uber drivers and vehicle owners all over the world, giving online sellers better tools to support their businesses, or empowering hospital leaders with analytics data to improve decision-making.
My values
For fun
